Daria Byrne, EdD, MSN, RN
Chief Strategy Officer
Daria Byrne leads CSI as its Chief Strategy Officer, strategically assessing and implementing the alignment of CSI’s consulting service capabilities with the current and future needs of the healthcare market. Prior to joining CSI, Byrne served as VP of Clinical and MedSurg Solutions Consulting at CSI’s parent company, Intalere, where she led the development and implementation of sales strategies to extend consulting services within the clinical and medical surgical realm to healthcare providers throughout the United States. Byrne has extensive clinical, informatics, value analysis, leadership and educational experience in conceptualizing, developing and implementing key strategies in improving operations, and analyzing processes and healthcare trends.
Prior to joining Intalere, Byrne was vice president, Product Management, for PeraHealth, Inc. In this role, she led the launch of two new products for clinical surveillance in addition to managing the entire product portfolio. She also established the product management vertical, developed and implemented training programs, and supported product implementation developing service programs for specific use cases (palliative care, mortality reduction, sepsis identification, reduced ICU LOS, right patient right bed, etc.). Byrne worked as a consultant for TheraDoc Patient Safety (acquired by Premier) and was later hired as a senior product manager, responsible for leading the development of a next generation sepsis surveillance solution. She also worked for Cerner Corporation as an outcomes measurement solutions designer, and for MEDSEEK as a clinical solutions manager/patient portal strategist, acting as a clinical nursing subject matter expert for both corporations to enhance offerings and expand business opportunities.
Byrne’s clinical background includes positions as a circulating nurse in the OR, med surg units, critical care and emergency departments. For 11 years, Byrne taught associate degree and baccalaureate degree nursing students, and continues to occasionally teach graduate nursing informatics courses for Excelsior College, from which she received the Distinguished Faculty Award in 2017.
Byrne is a member of the American Nursing Informatics Association, National League for Nursing and Sigma Theta Tau Nursing Honor Society. She is an International Review Peer Panel Member for Nurse Education in Practice, a sought-after speaker and contributing author for a multitude of published articles on nursing best practices.
Byrne received a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in Nursing from the University of Central Missouri and a Doctorate degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia with a focus on Educational Leadership and Policy Analysis. She is licensed as a Professional Registered Nurse in the states of Kansas, Missouri and Tennessee.
