Sheila Arquette, Director of Pharmacy at Independent Health

In this episode, Sheila Arquette, Director of Pharmacy at Independent Health, joins host Suzette DiMascio, CHE, CMCE, CPC, for an in-depth discussion on how a regional health plan has successfully blazed a trail in the marketplace by aligning all its stakeholders’ needs and establishing its own PBM and specialty pharmacy.

Sheila Arquette is a 1989 magna cum laude graduate of the State University of New York at Buffalo School of Pharmacy. Sheila has been employed at Independent Health for over 11 years, assuming the Director of Pharmacy Services in July 2014. She has extensive experience in retail and hospital pharmacy practice in addition to the managed care, PBM and specialty pharmacy space.

Prior to joining Independent Health, Ms. Arquette worked in almost every pharmacy practice setting including: community pharmacy; as a supermarket pharmacist for a local independent pharmacy; as a clinical pharmacist for several hospitals across New York State; and as a staff pharmacist in long term care pharmacy. She is a current member of the AMCP and NASP.
