Sanford, FL – July 29, 2008, As Florida leaders look for ways to position the state for 2030, to support a competitive business climate and promote sustainable development and economic diversification all while attracting top talent to Florida, leaders from Tallahassee in conjunction with the Florida Chamber Foundation, established the Florida Innovation Caucus to spearhead the efforts needed to ensure a bright future.
The Caucus, comprised of top private and public sector executives in business and education, is tasked with collaboratively creating a blueprint and framework for Florida’s future and economic benefit, as Florida looks toward 2030. The Caucus includes professionals from Enterprise Florida, Board of Governors, Workforce Florida, The Florida Dept of Education and a few, hand selected private sector leaders.
Since the need to attract World Class Talent to Florida was identified as the # 1 way to drive Florida’s Innovation Economy, Tony Carvajal, Executive Vice President of the Florida Chamber Foundation, reached out to DiMascio, a nationally recognized Talent Acquisition leader, to join.
